specific needs. Whether it's a two-week Survival Course, two month
Intensive Immersion course, or even if you'll just be here for a few

Cultural de Idiomas (CCI) is one of Costa Rica´s oldest and most
respected language schools. We offer regular and intensive learning
programs for Spanish, as well as English, French, Italian, and German.
We've been helping people to learn
languages since 1986!
At CCI all
instructors use practical methods that develop grammar, pronunciation,
listening, as well as oral skills, that will enable students to speak
Spanish. In addition, in order to ensure both individual attention and
full understanding, lessons are scheduled in small groups, usually no
larger than four students.

Our classes are conducted in groups no
larger than four students. CCI's team of specially trained instructors
provides the guidance and personal attention you need to become a
fluent Spanish speaker. In addition, we teach some of the
idiosyncrasies of Costa Rican Spanish. We have experience working with
students of all ages from around the world.
Host
Families:
Our
home stay program will help you increase your understanding of Spanish
as well as give you the opportunity to learn about the lifestyle and
culture of the Costa Rican people. Home stay provides immersion in the
language and culture, allowing you to see typical Costa Rican family
life. Our host families are carefully chosen to provide a clean, safe
environment. Most host families have at least one member who speaks
some English, in order to facilitate communication and avoid
misunderstandings.
Lodge:
In addition to
our home stays, we also have a lodge on the outskirts of Alajuela. The
lodge offers 6 cabins with: Double & single bed, Fan Hot water Terrace TV with cable

( 4 to 8 students ) with full kitchen.

Holistic Approach to
Spanish:
Rather than just learning the Spanish
language from a textbook, CCI believes in an approach of combining
conversational skills with formal instruction. For the more advanced
students, we concentrate on perfecting Spanish by focusing on the
common errors of foreign speakers. The principles, vocabulary
development, and common idiomatic expressions are covered extensively.
